HTI classes are designed to train professionals in the core knowledge to practice horticultural therapy. Focus is on the "Horticultural Therapy Specialization" area of the AHTA Core Curriculum, with an emphasis on synthesis of and practical application of knowledge. All classes have been approved by AHTA as an accredited workshop at 0.4 points.

To earn the certificate in Horticultural Therapy from the HT Institute, students must successfully complete all five courses including out-of-class assignments.


Horticultural Therapy Management

Class Overview:

This course prepares students to develop, manage and evaluate horticultural therapy programs. Strategies for obtaining funding and resources to support programs is included, as well as how to provide horticultural therapy services as a private contractor. This course is generally offered in the Spring semester.
