The American Horticultural Therapy Association -- (AHTA) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote and advance the profession of horticultural therapy as a therapeutic intervention and rehabilitative medium. AHTA is the only US national organization that promotes and advances the profession of horticultural therapy. The main office is in Lexington, Kentucky. Holden Arboretum, -- located in Kirtland, Ohio connects people with nature for inspiration and enjoyment, fosters learning and promotes conservation. Located on 100 acres, the arboretum continues to host the Introduction to Horticultural Therapy class provided by the Horticultural Therapy Institute. Craig Hospital -- is exclusively dedicated to the specialty rehabilitation and research for patients with spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury. Craig has treated more than 24,000 patients since 1956 - more spinal cord injury patients than any other single facility in the world. Gardens on Spring Creek -- after 17 years of diligence and hard work by many dozens of citizens, and the "thumbs up" from thousands of local voters, the City of Fort Collins now has a community-oriented botanic gardens. The Gardens is located at 2145 S. Centre Avenue, on an attractive 18 acre site along and to the south of Spring Creek. Colorado State University/Department of Horticulture -- all classes offered by the Horticultural Therapy Institute are accredited for academic credit by Colorado State University's Department of Horticulture Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro -- Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, North Carolina, provides compassionate, quality care for persons who are living with a progressive and life-limiting illness and their families. Anchor Center For Blind Children -- The mission of Anchor Center for Blind Children is to teach visually impaired infants, young children and their families, providing hope and a nurturing environment where children reach their highest potential. |
